I too had a look round. I didn't post anything on the new one, just because I didn't really have anything to say, it seemed everything I would have said had already been said by others:dbgrtmb:

The new version looks good. I think its going to be a massive improvement over the current software. It just looks and feels more crisp and up to date.

I fully expect there to be a few teething problems. There always are with migration projects (17 years in software development and many migrations under my belt, yet not a single one to pass without issues). I'm sure the tech team behind GC are more than capable of sorting any issues that arise over the first few weeks of the new move.

I'm looking forward to the switch (although not looking forward to the unavoidable outage). vBulletin has been the de facto standard for forums for years now, and it just hasn't moved with the times truth be told. The new software seems feature rich, and user friendly. All good.:dbgrtmb:

I had a look around, but I leave the technical stuff to those that know.

On first sight it didn't look that different, but I'm sure all will become apparent once we get to using it.

Been there, done that, still confused.:D

I am probably the one with the least computer knowledge to have 'test driven' the new site. Earlier in the week I took my first look and was frightened off immediately, so left it overnight and went back in the following day. I think it was the initial shock of changing.

Second day........What on earth was I worried about! The new site is similar to the old one here and easy to navigate. It's just a case of giving yourself a little time to look around and take in the new set-up. :)

I found it a lot easier on the eye, and the new additions to the site are great improvements.

Like me, quite a few members are probably apprehensive about the change, believe me there's nothing to worry about. :)

Everyone who has been involved with building/producing/supporting the new Gardeners Corner have done a grand job. Thank you. :dbgrtmb:

Quite. Fancy them doing the upgrade on a wet day ... now if it was done on a sunny day we could all be out in the garden instead of talking about gardening :heehee:

I've always wanted the opportunity to say:

Chocks away, tally ho, smoke me a kipper I'll be home for supper.

Still, I guess I'll have to keep on waiting for that opportunity to present its self:heehee:

Done a whistle stop tour around the site and very impressed with the new layout.
I shall wait to see how others react to this as they will no doubt have more of an idea with layouts and functions than I do.
Hard work with a brilliant outcome.
Well done to all who have contributed and taken their time to make this a friendly and welcoming site.
                    Top marks.
