On reading Clueless1 Thread 25th Feb, it brought back memories of when my oldest daughter was 2-3 yrs.
I came home from work one day,my daughter was in her room playing. As i went to enter the room i heard her voice, and what i thought was a second voice.
I turned to my wife and asked her quietly " who was playing with my daughter".
My wife replied "Nobody, she's on her own"!.
I opened the room door very quietly and sure enough there she was, sitting on her bed with her toys and having a good conversation with an imaginary friend in the corner of the room.

It Was quite scary as the voice she was using (in answer), was low and throaty, nothing like her voice at all.
I asked her who she was talking to, she answered "My friend 'Bodoo', daddy..

I found it a bit strange, she wasn't a lonely child with lots of friends her age. also the name
'BODOO', not Betty ,Ann ,Helen, something we could relate to.
Later we had to set a place at the table for 'Bodoo',( but Bodoo never ate anything):D.

Later on she made 'Bodoo' redundant( they must have had an argument), she then adopted a Tiger (imaginary),( i got on better with the Tiger) :sofa:.

Have Any of your children had Imaginary friends or pets ?.
Or Am I the only one who had a child with a great Imagination .

My older sister had an imaginery friend called Charles....She was quite frightening at times and convincing ,he would eat with us and go everywhere with her...untill one day and this is true.....My mum and sis were in town ,crossed the road near a bus stop and 'charles' got run over.......my sister was hysterical....mum thought at one point sis would need to see a quack as she took along time getting over him.....She still remembers him now 58 years on......

My daughter had an imaginary friend called Keddes. She freaked out when she was about 3 when we left Keddes in Asda one day and we had to go back in to get "him". :rolleyespink: She told me last year Keddes was the cat from our front door mat at the time. (We had a front door mat with an orange stripey cat on it) She's 17 now and still maintains Keddes was "real" when she was small.

Hmmn My youngest daughter had an imaginary friend "Shepard Corney"
He was always there and ate Sunday Dinner with us, even said thank you for his meal via the Daughter. After six years when she was Eleven he vanished. though she did search for him for a few months, then accepted that he had had to go, as another child needed him ???
I do not know who was daftest us or her, he even got an easter egg once or twice, and a Christmas card ?
