    Spring.....

My favorite time of the year is the Spring,
When my garden awakens then starts to sing,
The birds are all busy for there are nests to build,
Then not before long full of chicks they'll be filled.
Seems only moments ago there was nothing to be seen,
But now as you look there's a faint haze of green.
The trees are all budding, you can see signs of life,
They seemed to have coped with the cold winters strife.
As fresh leaves unfurl on the plants and the shrubs,
So too do wake up all the insects and grubs.
There's a change in the air,yes it's Spring you can smell,
Everything fresher it's easy to tell.
The nights are now slowly becoming lighter and lighter,
The old Hedgehog wakes up.My..what a fighter...
So Winter is leaving us..that cold bitter chill,
The tepid warmth of the sun the air it does fill,
At this time of year new life my garden does bring,
Indeed...My favorite time of the year is the Spring......:sunny:
