I try to understand plants......but

    :) Do you ever wonder why some plants thrive with neglect and flower or provide fruit every year prolifically while others are tended, fed, watered,covered ,staked etc. etc. and just die or struggle,maybe that is just killing them with kindness.

    It's the ones that are never fed or watered or given the slightest bit of attention and still are prolific that truly amaze me..

      I think it depends on what the plants are Roders. I seem to have problems with indoor plants that flower. They blooom to start with then just keel over and die. But, on the other hand anything that doesn't flower seems to take over my house.

      Perhaps the plants sense what type of person's growing them! :heehee:

        Yes they are called WEEDS or NATIVE PLANTS that gardeners do not wish to have growing in their particular garden :)

          I cant seem to shake off this feeling that plants have been doing their thing for just a few years longer us. They've had a while to perfect their art I reckon.

            I Have an old neighbour who 'Bungs' in her Strawberry,Tomato,and Various other plants and Herbs,every year, in tubs and containers,and she only waters them ,and she gets better results than me:mad:.. I am out feeding, spraying,examining my plants,she doesn't bother.I asked her what she used on her plants, her reply----,
            "Nothing, God Looks After His Own" :scratch:. God MUST be green.:).

              All the plants that grow in the 'wild' don't have somebody to feed and water them and manage to survive. I think that speaks for itself. :)
