...buying seeds for this year :D, I've got soooo many seeds in my fridge at the moment, some that I have bought, some that have been very kindly donated by fellow GC members; thankyou

I've just bought some Erythina Crista-galli seed as I love this plant and the one I grew last year I lost through the winter; a real shame as it was about 30" tall by the autumn even though it was from a late sowing around June, so they'll be getting sown this weekend to get them growing a bit earlier this time.

I have veg seed (most of which will be used this year), perennial seed, annuals, tropical stuff...it's all in there...

I have donated some seed to members on here myself to lessen the load, but collecting/buying seed is a weakness of mine, knowing they'll keep quite happily in the fridge for a year or two if I don't get round to sowing them this year there's always next year..:sunny:, so if I come across something that stands out and I must have it, I'll add it to the collection :D

Seeds you can store in little packets :)

Wait till they germinate, fill up your windowsills then overflow your garden :WINK1:

You're stuffed Bilbo - I finally got to the PO today to send your seeds off that you asked for. So that'll be a few more!!!!

I hope that my Erythrina survived otherwise I'll be off for some seed too.

          Hiya Bilbo.

It's very easy to get carried away, buying loads of seed. One glance through the seed catalogue usually does it! "Cor, they look nice" is a phrase that strikes a chord :D If only I had the space....

Don't let the issue of space get in the way!

It doesn't help reading on here about everyone else's plants, each time I see something new I have to stop myself trying to buy some more seeds online, it's just too easy to click away :help:

This would make some very useful extra room , if I could just squeeze it in behind the shed , I think homebase do this model :D

It's not seeds with me, it's any plant which takes my fancy. Last year it was Rhododendrons and other evergreen shrubs.

This year it's Camellias and Clematis.

I looked at climbers because I wanted ONE to climb up the fence by the patio and ended up buying 12! :heehee:

I bought some Camellias to plant for a hedge effect next to the fence, and by the time I'd split some of them out which had obviously been potted together, I ended up with 12 Camellias too. Seven of them are going in the border, and five I planted in containers yesterday.

The plants which are already in that border are going into the front garden and in order to facilitate this I'm going to put a border on another side of the front lawn to take the ones I'm going to have to relocate.

I did have to start from scratch last year though as I pulled up a whole border which had been planted before I got here.

I've got so many plants in containers that I'm in danger of running out of space for those as well :rolleyespink:

I don't like too much clutter in any case, I like to see an open expanse of lawn when I look out, albeit the sides are getting taken over :heehee:
