GCC - now that is a real WOW or is it a PHEW plant.

          He has a fascinating collection!
I have some Morea huttonii seeds in at the moment - up to a year to germinate, and even then I was told "expect low germination".

That really does have the OMG factor! Do you know the name?

          Hi Pater,
buy one of those giant sunflower seeds, they write on the seeds 4mtr high, so I guess if you don't plant it in a pot but in the ground and put chemical fertilizer on regularly you will end up with a monster

rosa viridiflora, if you want sth towards the strange/ugly

moss roses are probably not evoking OMGWT, but they have nice mossy flower buds, rosa centifolia muscosa is a well known one

Love weeds - I tried to grow a Bolivean sunflower - Tithonia diversifolia, a couple of years ago. But couldn't get any seeds to germinate.

I think this one was 26 feet high.
