Lettuce tom thumb, started to grow them from seed in the polly, and they have just started to come up, there in trays at the moment, obviously I dont want them to go all top heavy (is it leggy?) so at what sort of size before I put them in small plug plant size pots (pot them on) thanks

I've just potted some up at the first true leaf stage. Make sure the slugs can't get near them, they are very vulnerable when little.

I have them covered with netting, and I'm not sure, but there on sharp sand, and I dont think slugs like to crawl along sharp sand (or slither or whatever there mode of transport is!!) but when do I pot them again??
