:smile:I think it's a Wren, but not sure as she only sits on the four eggs at night,I assume they won't hatch as they go cold during the day...seems a shame.

They look like Wrens eggs Rodders, they might hatch, chickens eggs can be gathered up & stuffed under a broody hen even after they've gone cold, keep em crossed.

Does look like a Wren's nest, the feather lining is a give away.

It looks to me like that is a Robins nest and not a Wrens nest.A Wren builds a domed {round with a small entrance hole}nest. The male builds a few of them while courting the female and it is she who chooses which one she wants to lay her eggs in.

The saying goes that up to fifty Wrens have been recorded using a nest for roosting in the winter as the body heart given off by them all keeps them warm:smile:

It is a shame that the bird is only sitting on them at night Roders because once they have been chilled for a few minutes then the embryo will most certainly die so she must be and inexperienced bird and hasn't yet learnt to brood them:sad:

Thanks for sharing them with us though as it is nice to see that the breeding season is in full swing although this year the dawn chorus seems a bit late unless my hearing is going:snork:

Here is a bit of info about wrens that might interest you...
