    Hello All,

My seedling from last year has finally flowered, and the smell is wonderful for such a simple, classy little flower. I got these seeds on a vist to a world famous garden???, a pod was just laying smashed on the ground..honest!!

    Enjoy

You sound as though it has been dragging its heels Wayne! What sort of timeframe between sowing and blooming is normal?

This kind of thing happens and is unavoidable!! As a regular visitor to the botanic gardens in Oxford I regularly get twitchy fingers, although I can hold my head high and say that I have always resisted temptation (out of respect for the aims of the institution).

I love this nice simple bloom by the way!

Lovely Wayne. I still can't believe how you have blooms this early. I love the fruit on arborea almost as much as I love the flowers. Mine is a prolific fruiter, as I believe they all are. Last year the boughs were bent down till they almost touched the floor.

Is arborea an early grower? My arborea is already well clothed in leaves (though nothing compared to what it will be), whilst all my other coloured ones (overwintered in the same place) have virtually no leaves.

post-2200-0-54472100-1333304276_thumb.jpg I kept in in the green all winter in our cold frame conservatory and it starting budding like mad. Was so looking foward to it's scent. Something you can never experience at a Botanical garden because it's closed when they smell their best!! Now I know!!! I've also called Arborea "T" in bud too. Can't wait to get in to pod.

As Alan will tell you Arborea's will start early and finish late , they are real giver's.
Here another bloom from last night

        Wayne
