A Happy Blessed Easter to all that celebrate.

We are going to try out a new resturant for dinner on Sunday.

I am off on Friday, getting a facial, then garden stuff for the rest of the day.

    What plans does others have?

And a Happy Easter to you, Redstar! We have the usual household jobs which we've been putting off, but on Sunday we're off for a lovely lunch with old friends. We met them through the children, when our boys were tiny. Now, the boys are big hulking lads who tower over us and pat us on the heads. Mind you, in other ways they haven't changed that much. I expect they'll still spend the entire day bickering over annoying computer games. And they'll still expect chocolate eggs. :)

Easter for me has always been the big 'getting things done in the garden' weekend of the year. Weather permitting, this year will be no different.

A few of the jobs I have lined up for the next 4 days:

Planting first and second early potatoes
Sowing outdoor vegetable seeds such as lettuce, radishes, beetroot, carrots and spring onions.
Mow the lawn and trim the edges.
A little hoeing and hand weeding around all the borders and the vegetable plots.
Finish sorting out all the pot and container plants which I've overwintered in the greenhouse, along with those I re-potted a couple of weeks ago, get them all out in their summer positions.
Finish pruning the winter flowering shrubs, shred the prunings and add to the compost heap.
Change the soil in the greenhouse, ready for planting the tomatoes and peppers later this month.
Clean up and re-paint a garden seat which is looking a bit scruffy.
Try out my latest purchase, a tool for the removal of moss and weeds from block paving....
....and probably a few other jobs which will crop up along the way. :phew:

        Happy Easter to all:)

For me, I will no doubt tidy up the back garden a bit ready to move onto the next of many stages of its development. Probably go and see if my dad needs a hand with anything on his allotment. Visit the beach and the parks several times no doubt, and almost certainly drink some lovely mucky beer.

Always used to go to Birmingham & stay with my Auntie at Easter, thought it odd, as I have dozens of other Aunties & Uncles too.

Reason turns out that it was because she was really my Sister.

        So, mixed feelings at Easter.
