    Why would anyone want to twin their town with Timbuktu? :scratch: It was a dump when I was there 50 years ago and hasn't changed much since.

    Do we have to blame you for the rebellion in Timbuktu? It started on 21st March, which must have been around the time you moved! Yesterday they officially named it Azawad. I wouldn't go there if I were you as they have declared Shariah law.

                How was yours ??? , mine was realy relaxing I was off the coast of Portugul about 80 miles out at sea heading to Nothern Spain and two birds the size of sparrows flew past just amazing , saw Swifts Swallows and house Martins in Portugul but I havnt seen one here in very dry and Sunny Wales
