Everything is going really well with my meager 1m x 1m square foot gardening raised bed. I am beginning to see signs of life from my rocket and salad leaves...yippeee...
My question is this: My bed came with a frame and coche. I also got free, an insect net which fits the frame. I have to have my bed covered all day with either the cloche or insect net, as my two cats would play havoc with the soil and seedlings...
I am just a bit conscious that they aren't getting access to much rain, instead relying on me for water. So, during the day, is it now warm enough for me to simply have the net covering the bed and is this also ok during the night?
I would leave the bed completely open to the elements if I could, but as the cat problem stops at night (when they are in bed...) the nightly slug and snail problem begins! ha ha ha
What I don't want, is to suddenly stop using the cloche and then everything that is showing signs of emerging, to die on me. I'd be completely gutted![IMG]

    Hiya Mark.

I'd be inclined to only cover (using the cloche) when there is a frost forecast, removing it during the day.

    Cheers...Freddy.

I am using my cloches at night and taking them off during the day. It is working well.
