I have not received my free giant seeds yet either, but there is no rush as I only sowed mine mid May last year.

          Mine arrived today!

Was rather amused at the Growing instructions on the packet which advise for them to be planted out "120cm/48" apart each way". Flippin heck, that would result in a right jungle.

Did you notice that T&M enclosed a sheet with Important Information on how to sow "small, tiny or dust like seeds"!

The good news is that I ordered a 2nd pkt to another address and that also has arrived so I have one spare packet to give away. If anybody wants them for this competition please PM (Conv.) me.

Just thought I'd mention that even if you aren't going to be able to eat a 1,000 lb (or smaller, perhaps much smaller) pumpkin all by yourself, you can always donate it to a local organisation holding a Halloween Party, or perhaps get a charitable donation (or free beer?) for it from a local pub, etc., making it still worth growing even if you can't cope with it yourself.

I still have a few portions of Pumpkin soup in the freezer, as do my neighbours....

I gave away over 80lb of Pumpkin flesh last year, but I had already pre-warned these people when to expect it. At least two of those have asked if I will have spare again this year.

                Steve...:)

I'll be going away for a few days shortly, so will be sowing on my return - I like to be about just incase they have a difficult birth and need the seed case removed from the first leaves.
