I'd take my time with it, longk, as it looks like you've got some prime plants in there, and you don't want to regret throwing things away. You've got your own plants and more than enough skill and experience to make it a really special place. Told you,......I'm  with envy!!

Everything that I don't want comes out as it opens - no messing! Nowt comes out until I know what it is though!
    There's damned Pulmonaria everywhere too!!!!
Got to make some space pronto, as I'm lifting three clumps of Aconitum tomorrow from the old place to take with me.

I had a "war" with Kerria Japonic, longk, when I tried to dig one up. It tends to leave suckers underground when you've think you've dug it all up, and then later it turns up again!!! I actually pulled up a piece of it today down at the bottom fence border after digging that particular one up years ago.:dunno:

I wish you all the best with the move. The new garden may look a bit of a wilderness at the moment, but just think what it will be like when you get to grips with it. Good luck. :dbgrtmb:

Dont make the same mistake as me we moved in sept,by the time I had replastered and painted before I got chance to get in the garden everything had died back and sadly I dug up and slung loads of quality plants:runforhills: ,when all I should of done was reposition them after trimming back.
That what comes of moving into a house occupied by disabled 89 year olds :ouch1:

Almost tempted to keep the Kerria just to "master" it!!!!

Big changes come next year - this year is about id and destroying what I dislike.

          Hi Keith,
it was quite well embedded under the kitchen window here but ,in one winter we removed it and it has never reappeared - unlike the ground elder.....
I also get vibes that suggest your house and garden have been previously well loved. I know that will continue through you. Looking forward to more piccies when you've drawn breath! Meantime, a nice brandy of an evening whist you mentally plan.
          all best wishes,
          Jenny namaste

Having done the 'moving' bit recently I know what a lot of work is involved.
I am still waiting to see what will come up that I don't know about, I removed thousands of Muscari and a spindly Crocus and couldn't wait to plant my own 'nursery' that I brought with me.
The greenhouse looks in good nick is it? is it big enough? mine isn't I've ordered a new one.

That looks good Keith, a decent sized greenhouse and stone walls should give your new plantings lots of protection.

You can get a medicated shampoo for that.
