    snip:
A Sri Lanka hen has given birth to a chick without an egg, in a new twist on the age-old question of whether the chicken or the egg came first.

Instead of passing out of the hen's body and being incubated outside, the egg was incubated in the hen for 21 days and then hatched inside the hen.

The chick is fully formed and healthy, although the mother has died.
The government veterinary officer in the area said he had never seen anything like it before

Thats how Mammals evolved from reptiles, gave us the advantage of not having to sit on a nest waiting to be eaten.

You tell that to a Jehovah's Witness though & they'll put their hands over their ears & adopt a blank look.

I am always on the lookout for a mermaid (as long as she has 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 arms, hair on her head and a mouth) ...

I'm not too concerned about the flipper/tail

I once humoured a couple that came to our door. They wanted to convince me that god created everything. I said, yes I know. They were surprise at this and started talking of Jehovah. I told them, no, Jehovah is fictional, created as a concept to explain certain rules and natural phenomenon to simple minded people of the day. I went on to explain that 'god' was actually just nature. At this they gave a deliberately smug little chuckle, believing they had me now. "Who created nature?" one asked. "Nobody created nature", I replied, "nature has no beginning, nothing created it it, it just is". "But God created nature" I was told, so I asked "but who do you think created your god?". Once again, they had a smug look, "it is not for us to understand, only god can understand that". To which I replied, "look, I'll be honest, I don't understand nature either, us human sorts are not ready to understand, it is just the way it is".

I was quite entertained by the little debate, but I did feel a little bit guilty, wondering if I might have pushed too hard to challenge somebody's faith. Each to their own and all that:)

I have nothing bad to say about any religion or people that belong to those

people become brainwashed and indoctrinated by people who are taught how to play on emotion and influence people

I have my own beliefs, but listen to all ... I embrace all religion as long as they preach goodwill and hapiness to all

those who knock on doors truly believe that what they are doing is the correct thing ... thats how they are taught

I recently had several visits from an American woman who belongs to the Mormon church, and who is over 6 foot tall, single, blonde hair, blue eyes, long legs and absolutely stunning ... met her on the bus

if I were single, I would become a Mormon .... my wife eventually started raising an eyebrow

so I had to tell the girl that I will stick with 'Catholic'

Last few that have come round here, i've been telling them that the Human DNA mapping is backing up the book of Genesis, saying that science has proved we made a journey out of Eden, but mated with the Neandertals on the way.

They really didn't know how to react to that. I bet they've been talking out a response to it in their tabernacles since though.
