    Well the Gate is Hung & Working :lunapic 130165696578242 5: i made the postes out of Artic Lorry Bumpers From Work Brand New Box Section the Gaffer only Charge me £45 for 21 foot of it :WINK1: Trade price :dbgrtmb:
    The Cast iron urns i got from a wrought iron gate maker and welded them on top of my posts the posts am 3ft in the ground
    This Gate Came off The local Salvation Army built in 1765 :phew:
    i hadent got the money when i spoted this for sale in a Antique shop
    But wot i did have in the Garage was 2 Cast iron Ranges 1 Large Carl Brookdale nice and ornate with swinging gales and a Small Victorian 1 Both Id Got For Free When Removing Chimney Breasts out of Houses & NOT WONCE BUT TWICE TOLD TO THROW THEM IN SKIPS :nonofinger: :nonofinger::mad:
    When i Bought them Home OH Said Wot on Earth am you going to do with them??? we Aint got a Chimney

    i said i Doa Care i cleaned them up got some black ledding grate polish and left them to stand in the Garage i also had Around 700 bricks off the job
    My old Gaffer Asked me wot do you want them for??


    My Reply if you want the Truth I Dont know yet I Fancy Doing Something in the Garden

    When id ran out of bricks i got the rest out the Skips
    i built the well 1st then went on to build the folly

    iv had this gate 18 months lay on its side in the Garden and Im over the moon to finerley got it hung today i got my Cill bricks from the stourbridge colliage of Art built 1899

    I Got 6 in Total & am Going to Try ONLY TRY & Make a Entrance Door Way out of them in the front of the Arbour im going to have a go at building

            Since you are the builder on here, a nice Wisteria growing over that would look mint or a rose "rambling Rector" if you need a name

            you could do a little Lord of the rings movie :wow:

            The gate looked fab when I saw it lying on the floor but now its hung up its like history lesson in your garden (very nice I hope the OH loves it)

                if you were in South Africa, you would make a lot of money with your work ....

                the big thing there is security, so people are installing fancy burgular bars that cover the whole window, driveway gates and even gates on the insides of their homes (most homes there are single storey .... i.e. bungalows, so they install a security gate that secures the bedrooms from the rest of the home, and that is normally installed in the passage/hall)
