      The top of the garden......................

      DSC_1862.jpg

............needs a good tidy up and some decent climbers.
Not this sort of climber though.................

................This hopefully ex Ivy was smothering the apple tree.

Looks like there are some Agapanthus under all the weeds too.

This little area took the best part of the day yesterday................

            DSC_1897.jpg

Irises thinned out, bags of P/winkle, Ivy, Primrose and various other weeds gone to the tip (which is on my way to work) today. Added to this space is my largest Aconitum clump that I bought from the old place, along with my white Tradescantia.

I'm realistic - I know that it'll be a few years before I'm free of the weeds. And ripping Forget me Nots up at the moment is certainly spreading the seed.

The "sorted" area grows! It should do as I'm filling two of these up every morning before work...............
            DSC_1927.jpg

It's a case of dig, lift, sift through and replant in smaller quantities...........

            DSC_1923.jpg

            DSC_1924.jpg

I'm adding a few of mine as I go too.

I've managed to save a few wild Arums and have potted them up............

            Acer (brilliantisum?).................
            DSC_1940.jpg

And the Goosgog bush is loaded with fruits..................

Thank you for these Longk, it looks like you took the 2nd picture before dawn! Did you?
How is the moggie taking it all? Does he/she like the new terrain? I can tell that a plantsperson lived there Keith. That make a lot of difference. Soil looks dark and freedaining. Has it coped OK with all that rain?
              Weekend now, enjoy....

They were all taken at about 9pm last night. As you can see there is still lots to do!
Cat loves it, but is frustrated by the squirrels (although she had her first mouse t'other day)!
The soil is great - free draining, but full of weeds!

The Euphorbis is being thinned out so that the sap will be dry by the time that I reach that area.............
              DSC_1943.jpg

There is a nice looking Buddleia in bud................
              DSC_1946.jpg

..................but it's hidden behind this huge rose...............
              DSC_1947.jpg

The Kerria is being thinned out for the time being to see if it will behave.

This Hebe and another bush were an intertwined mess and have both had a chop!

The bush hidden behind the rose is a lilac, longk, not a buddleia!

It's going to be excellent when you get it sorted and get your own bits in. It was a lovely garden to start with and has loads of lovely plants already.
