Why do we hate dandelions?

    They are beautiful. If they weren't as common as, well, dandelions, we'd probably be willing to pay handsomely for one of those indestructible taproots.

    I am fond of them but there are other intractable weeds that I hate much more (dock, thistle, wood avens) that don't get the same opprobrium.

    Sidmouth. I was there yesterday, but my camera battery went flat trying to take pics of shy Egrets on the Axe along the way there. Also also saw the donkeys.

      Blimey, we were just up the road from you at Escot. The Egrets nest in the woods near us along with the Herons.

            Well spotted, Scrungee :dbgrtmb:. I was on my early morning walk to watch the sunrise and was on my way back for breakfast. It was taken on the cliffs above the Sid - in this picture.
