Wind & rain lashed caravan all night long, panel missing off the greenhouse. Thought it might have cleared up by now but no end in sight.

Hi, just had to look at this thread today just to convince myself it isn't only me stressing out with the weather !
Wind and rain this morning whipping up to gale force just after 1pm. New growth on plants are being destroyed, again ! I've just been running about the garden moving what I can trying to find some escape from the wind. The only place is in the garage so a lot of potted plants have gone in there.
This is quite a new garden in terms of planting and I can see why other inhabitants havn't made an effort since the house was built in 1954. Or perhaps they have and learned a lesson as I am now ?
Best of luck for the remainder of the day folks.
    Gazania

The rain stopped a couple of hours ago and the sun is out - but dark clouds over the town in the distance.

Mrs Shiney and I have had a nice walk to the village, and back, in the warm sunshine.

Rained all day here too, thankfully the strong wind died right down around teatime, but it didn't take the rain with it.....its still at it :gaah: ; some 16hrs after it started at 5 this morning :frown:.

I know we need the rain but this is getting beyond a joke, tomorrow we're forecast a dry day and warm temperatures but guess what's following that mid-week, yep more rain..:wallbanging:

I reckon it is $EITY'S attonement of the water companies trying to make a profit on his free rain, and imposing an hosepipe ban on people watering their gardens :)

Today here was rain free for the first day in a couple of weeks, Sunny though very cold and windy
Actually helped me, as I still had one ton HEAP of stone chips to riddle to regain top soil
So I chucked half of them across the yard, the wind and Sun dried them out and I managed to riddle a couple of bags, nice dry fine top soil :dbgrtmb:
