I bought Harry Gray and Pink Galore in the Market square here in Battle yesterday. Lovely old guy and his missus, always there every Friday come rain or shine. Not Supermarket cheap at £1.50 each or 4 for £5 but bushy, stocky young plants . Joined the gang in the mini greenhouse!!

So looking forward to a dry day so they can all get outside for a bit. I think it must be getting a bit claustrophobic in the mini GH and I don't want any mutinous squabbling in there.

:heehee: I know what you mean, Jenny. Most of mine are coming on very well now, but I'm still covering up the top of the mini greenhouse with a bit of bubble wrap at night to keep out the cold air. Learnt the hard way there as some of the plants got chilly at night and lost some of their leaves. Really looking forward to planting them out later on in the year though - mind you I'm still finalising my plans for exactly where they're all going to go!

          That
Thats the bit I like. Lying in bed at night, remembering all the hanging and wall baskets, containers and window boxes and visualising different combinations. Always in sunshine of course! I shall mix one or two with my new hanging basket sweet peas. I have a pretty little basket with a frilled top and I can just see them all tumbling out over the frill. Dull as ditchwater here all day - not a hint of sun but I have been out and closed the mini GH lid. They all look good.

I normally never put my fuchsias or any other plants out until 1st week in June but it looking as our summer will be late in starting .

So fuchsias will behind glass for longer.

Has anyone on GC ever tried to mate their fuchsias?

No way will fuchsias be going out doors for a spell today .

Heavy rain showers on their way .

May resort to having fuchsias blooming their socks off behind glass.

Started off quite nice here today, there was even - gasp! - some sunshine. And now it's grey...and raining. Sigh.

As long as it does start. This is only my second summer with my own garden and last year was a bit of a damp squib so hoping for a few weeks of decent summer this year. Though at least it's getting me to harden up and get out there when it's damp anyway.
Oooh, no, I wouldn't know where to start! Have you?

          Hi Jenny
Your hardy fuchsia looks very much like 'Garden News.' Large flowers and a very strong grower .. I have a standard but not in flower as yet ..
