    Ah the good old semaphore forum, mind you it wasn't much good at night when you couldn't see the next signalling station. I still hanker after its forerunner the penny post, used to be able to start a new thread by letter at 9am and get several postcard replies by the mid morning post at 11:30.

              I don't know, you and your newfangled postal system. I remember when you had to light the fire at Danby Beacon to start a new thread, and then you'd have to watch out over the moors to see if anyone else lit their beacon in reply.

                :sofa: Ive not been online for ages for reasons ive already explained. Since being back though i have a brand spanking new laptop and everything works fine apart from GC. Its just a bit slow and freezes on a turquise colour screen :cool:

                I've got the same issues Hydro. Take a look at the thread in Site Feedback and Bugs, I think it's 'Page Load Times Are Slow'.

                It was even faster when we were able to use the velociraptor post - and you could be getting on with hobbies like cave painting, without having to waste time looking out for beacons!

                In those days the GC Club was brilliant - just the right weight and size and could be used in the left or right hand :thumbsup:. Clubbing in those days was pretty good and it was easy to pull the birds!!! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:
