Ya Hooooooooooo!:SUNsmile::SUNsmile:. Slight breeze - 6c. it's 7.12am It's all coming out of the mini GH today. I left the salvias out in a protected spot overnight. Don't think they came to any harm. Have a good day everyone - think the sun will be there for us southerners today.:dbgrtmb:

Just have a look at what's going on in Germany.
It is - right now - the chill-core of Europe.
+1 in Düsseldorf, only a few degrees above freezing-point in many others cities throughout Germany.
The astonishing thing is the quick changement that has occurred over there: from +30 to +1 in just one day.
That means: switching from summer to winter/early spring in 24 hours...
    A remarkable changement !

Yesterday it reached 68F and it's 43F at the moment. It'll feel hotter than yesterday as there is no breeze at all today, whereas there was a slightly chill wind blowing yesterday.

Got up at 4.30 am?? Went down with a torch to check temperature outside as I'd left the new salvia collection tucked up in a corner behind lots of others. 7c so OK. Birds singing their little hearts out. A slight breeze now 9c, barometer pressure nice and high. Loads of sunshine too. Maybe, the door will be open for a few hours - magic,

I think that I bring good luck.
I mean: when I was in Dresden, temperature was at +85 F.
Now, that I'm back to Italy, temperature over there is at +42 F.
    I defenetely bring good luck ! :WINK1:

        I know.
I experienced yours kind of climate when I lived over there.
I basicly wear the same kind of clothes throughout a wide range of monthes.
Conversely, over here where I live I happen to feel very cold early in the morning, then sweating at midday, then my sweat chilling up as soon as the sun set.
Say, freezing temperatures at 6 am, +70 F at midday and down to +45 F at sunset.
        That's quite common in spring.
Not to mention, the climate on the Alps.
The sun is so strong to burn up.
But as you step to the shadow YOU FREEZE UP.
Just have a try: go to Saint Moritz (Switzerland), Zermatt (Switzerland), Cervinia (Italy), Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy), Innsbruck (Austria), etc.

Two lovely dry days over the weekend, plenty of broken cloud and sunshine, top temp was 16 degrees, just a shame that the brisk westerly breeze spoilt it a little (especially yesterday).

It is currently back to the norm for spring 2012 ~ raining!!!:rolleyespink:, but at least there's no wind...:love30:

Blue sky, a breezy sou'westerley and currently 9c. Clouds moving fairly sharply but staying south of Battle at the moment. A bit more warmth would be nice but I'm gonna open the min GH now to toughen 'em up.

        Early this morning (6 AM) temperature at +3 °C (+37 °F).
I don't remember such a cold temperature over here in May...

The lid is still open but the rain arrived around lunchtime and it is still raining now at 5.30pm. Blackie is singing his little heart out - trying to keep warm I think,
