Loli you are so demanding :ideaIPB::WINK1:

Jenny , you want to see what other people keep them in , believe me it is like Buck Palace:wow:

New camera as well so still getting used too, plus loading them on here takes for ever at the moment so bare with me

Just need everyone else to take some bee photos , I will ask Marley Farley to rally the troops to join in on the thread, "as long as its got a sting" can be the title !!

here is a pic of a South African wasp .... they grow large and when they sting, they are not like bee's that sting once .... they sting repeatedly ....

very painful and they make grown men cry ...

When I was a child, I was stung on my hand when I put my hand into our potstbox to remove post .... the wasp stung me about 4 times before I could get my hand out of the postbox .... my hand swelled up to twice the size and I had a headache for 2 days ....

the only other similar pain I felt was when I was stung by a scorpion whilst at a holiday resort ... the scorpion was in the wardrobe and managed to get into the pocket of my short pants ....

when I put the pants on, no probs at first, then it stung me on my thigh .... I yelled and done a little zulu dancing and as I yanked the shorts off, it stung me twice more on my leg .... (whilst my wife and kids were laughing) :ouch1:

They go sort of frothy tasting in your mouth:dbgrtmb: Hawthorn berries make a fantastic wine, just takes a long time to pick a gallon of them.

Right, back on topic.... I was concerned that a pump was running that shouldn't have been. I could hear a hum coming from the en suite bog.

Checked all the solar & heating pumps were off but could still hear a noise coming from behind the shower.

Put a glass against the wall & I could hear the individual bees moving about in their nest. Behind the shower is the redundant internal old doorway into what used to be the gents loo when this was a dance hall. the bees had found a way in & occupied the entire void.
