Okay then...here goes with my very 1st question.

Trying for the 1st time to grow some cucumbers but not sure what to feed them and how often. Only 9ins high at the moment.

I feed mine once a week with a dilute seaweed extract just to keep them green, mine are still in a pot waiting to go outside into the greenhouse (waiting for the warmer weather). Where are yours at the moment, potted up indoors or in the soil in a greenhouse or what?

Once they are in the ground and have started bearing fruit then I will switch to tomato feed once a week.

Hi, sorry for the late reply (been driving) they are in the conservatory at the moment in pots, sheltering from the beautiful northern weather!

I also feed tomato feed because it's easy as have tomatoes alongside, however there may well be something better. 1 tip I got years ago from a professional grower was to mix some straw/ maybe hay would also do?, in the planting hole once big enough to plant in their final position. Worked well for me.
