It's explained in detail here http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/upd...-tesco-buy-selected-items-stack-codes-1216486

My local store doesn't put out the leaflets with all those vouchers/codes in so I pick them up from another store. It's then fun working out what's on offer (like Quorn burgers half price) when there's a voucher for money off frozen food and stocking up, or one for money off veg and use to buy bags of potatoes that have points with them that already make them 'free'.

Then you start looking to use £3 off £20, etc. vouchers issued instore, and others from newspapers and Tesco mailings, all of which can be used in the same shop, perhaps also with some for points on products that are also eligble for money off. Finally, when you get your shop you buy an expensive 'try me free' product to get the actual stuff you pay for down, and a greater percentage of money off. You might also end up with a 5p off a litre of fuel voucher. But you always check if it would be cheaper elsewhere

This morning at Tescos I saw petunia hanging baskets in perfect condition reduced from £5 to £2.50 each, probably because they're not selling well in this cold spell, and Mrs Scrungee immediately pulls a £1.25 off £5 on plants voucher out, so we got 2 planted up baskets for only £3.75 - i don't think you can buy a pair of empty baskets in Wilkos for that.

In most stores there's a new leaflet every 2 weeks, normally appearing by Thursday, which can be used as I've described above as an alternative to shopping online. An example of what people are going for at the moment is a Tesco cheese & onion quiche, reduced today from £2.20 to £1.10 online (online offers normally kick in instore a day or so later) and there's a 50p of Tesco quiches voucher in their current offers booklet, so they're down to only 60p each.

Another example - a few weeks ago there was a special offer on Cathedral City Mature cheese which if used with a money off cheese voucher from the instore voucher booklets got it down to about £3/Kg - got a fridge shelf of the stuff. The last day to use those cheese vouchers was Sunday, when we bought £12 worth of short life cheese reduced to £3 and then got another £1 off.

You may have guessed that I shop for food in the same way as I try and get cheap gardening stuff.
