    Hi everybody
    Remember me.
Been off it for awhile due to health problems again.
Without to many details I have had NINE polyps removed from unmentionable places. I really hope that is end of my problems.
Anyways, To much news on the forum to catch up with what has been happening. I trust you are all fit and well and getting into the growing season again.
My garden is still bare and the conservatory is full of plants and hanging baskets waiting to go out, but its just to cold at the moment.
    And its raining again today.
Question...does anybody know an effective way and stopping pigeons eating all the bird food on the garden bird table without frightening off the little fellas and their young. They make a right mess and never stop eating to fill their crops.
I have looked at those spiky things but I done reckon they are right for the garden.
Thats it for now. I shall now troll the threads and see If I can add my pennyworth.

Good to see you back Robert, hope you are recovering well:dbgrtmb: .
I have the same problem with Woodies, they never stop eating, I try to frighten them off when I see them but they are persistant.

Great to have you back, Robert. Hope things are starting to look up for you now. I too have ravenous wood pigeons, as well as collared doves. They seem to prefer eating off the ground, so now I put out 'sacrificial' food for them on a paved area so they'll be more likely to leave other places alone. Hanging feeders are great as the big birds find it difficult to pinch the contents - although they have been known to give it a try!

:yay: Good to see you back again Robert.. My greenhouse is bursting with stuff waiting to go outside too.! :dunno: Flipping weather..!

My friend put a 2 or 3" high border of small holed chicken wire around the tray area of her bird table & that stopped the pigeons landing but not the smaller birds & young..

Welcome back Robert , we have a territorial Spanial Maya who frightens off the pigeons - and every other bird . It does mean we don't need to buy a lot of seed though
