Red Rhodo.jpg Not as exotic as some on here, but I bought this Rhododendron last year and am pleasantly surprised with it's colouring.

:) Yes, Wayne, thanks to your encouragement last year you can see perservance with Charles has paid off ... and I am absolutely delighted, thank you, and the scent is heavenly. :love30:

Your Rhodo is lovely gcc, such a vibrant colour ... shame it's too hot here for them.

Just an update on the Trachy flowers,

This poor old Washy has been hanging on for a few years now, but its making a comeback yet again

      The Rebutias.

      Echinocereus just starting to flower
      [IMG]

The name escapes me at the moment, but this is pretty hardy and comes back most years

I can remember growing Gerberas from seed years ago, very touchy and a magnet for whitefly, wonder how these so called "hardy" ones will get on.

Nice colour, worth the wait :) I grew them as a nipper, and they were all Orange I think (might have been Red), Growing a small one now, expecting that to be the same colour. I prefer yours !

I'll probably be made to look a twit for suggesting this, but Mesembryanthemum is on the tip of my tongue ... might be something completely different though.

        I read that one Victoria.
Yep its similar and mine seems hardy, but strangely for this kind of plant it disappears in winter if frosted, and then comes back from underground.

Mesembryanthemum was a good guess Kristen and its that family anyway.

My Impatiens morsea has just started to bloom again............ DSC_2117.jpg DSC_2115.jpg DSC_2116.jpg

Nearly lost this last year - it had a major RSM infection and the stem rotted as a result of the treatment. Still, I was able to save a cutting, and that has remained RSM free.
