I used to enjoy Chelsea when it had that grounded amateur feel to it, but I think that it really has strayed too far from actual gardening and looks so fake, like a 'style' show. So much working against nature rather than with it - all that forcing and manipulating, daft structures and exhorbitant costs. Seems quite sad really, wish they would focus more on the plants themselves.
I watch it a bit, but record and fast forward a lot through the celeb rubbish.

I thought tonight's show was interesting, especially the bit about pollinator-friendly plants and all the advice given about wild-flower planting. I wonder how much they charge for those wild-flower strips of turf rolled up like a carpet - a bomb, I bet! I enjoyed the trip up Dermid's pyramid too (although I can't stand him) I thought it was extremely interesting. A good hour's viewing, in my opinion.

we also need a small time slot educating people about all the new fertilizers on the market like osmocote, things like rootgrow, activated aerated compost teas, high brix gardening, organic gardening, various composts etc .... there was a slot allocated to vegetable growing which I enjoyed

maybe they will show something like that tonight? .... or maybe it's not in line with what the chelsea show is about and they will leave it for programs like gardenersworld and the likes

and as previously mentioned, many of the gardens (soft landscaping) on show are designed for this month ... for the rest of the year, they will be empty (a few exceptions though)

other to that, I'm sorry that I could not go this year, but will hopefully go next year

Just watched tonght's show. Haven't watched it until now. Maybe saw the best? Anyway, I found it very interesting and enjoyable. Even recognised one or two of the plants! See, that's what being on GC does for you,
