All scrumptious Bilbo. The bees will be out in force again today don't you think. Your cerinthe is very early, has it been waiting in the GH wings for quite a while?

Hi Jenny, yes the bees will be out in force all week I think along with lots of other stuff...

My Cerinthe are self seeded plants from last years ones; they started popping up in Jan/Feb, they haven't been grown on in the greenhouse, they've been flowering for a good 4 weeks now, looking at their best right now....:blue thumb:

        Stunning photos, everyone :dbgrtmb:.

John, Mrs Shiney said she would love some seeds of the Nemophila menziesii 'Pennie Black' if there would be any available later in the year.

More - I love it when the sun comes out!

As I have said previously, the garden appears to have a yellow theme. Welsh Poppies are bursting out everywhere!

Seed pods on the Sutherlandia frutescens (Balloon Pea)............

It is looking really good now - when I moved in it had a sulk on as I moved it outdoors. All the flower buds blasted, but it has adapted and is forming lots of new buds again. I've taken a chance on the predicted warm weather coming to fruition and sunk the pot in the ground.

Finally, not mine, but this Redwood is looking fantastic in a near neighbours garden.

I don't think I've ever known my garden to be so late to come to life. Usually, being right in the town, things are on the early side. But ... I do have some daffodils! I forgot to plant these narcissi last autumn. So I bunged them in a pot back in March and they have still managed to flower. The snails keep eating them, though.

My late neighbour loved this eye-searing azalea. After she died, I found it chucked in a corner and apparently dead. Some of the wood was still green, however, so of course I had to try to resurrect it. And here it is just two seasons on! I didn't realise they had such powers of regeneration.

Lonicera 'Americana' is just bursting. This rather gloomy picture doesn't do it justice. It's one of the best honeysuckles, in my opinion, with a wonderful clove scent which wafts on the air on warm summer evenings. Not that it's been doing much wafting recently. Hoping for some nice weather so it can do its stuff properly.

Love the Azalea and honeysuckle Clara, had to laugh at you rescuing the azalea I did just the same with an iris dumped on the track at the bottom of our garden, and 3 years on it has buds !!!!!!

LongK, is the Taxodium in you new garden? should be fantastic in the Autumn.

Back garden border is starting to get some colour now with some Heucheras and some ex basket Pansies given an extended life.
Apart from the Viburnum, everything else is newly planted, there are several climbers on the back fence recently planted, Campsis, Lonicera Solanum Var, so yet to make an impact. Should look more established next year

                      It is Strongy.

Isn't it a little frustrating having a bed that you can see in your minds eye, yet you know that the casual observer doesn't see it anything like you do?!

I'm not worried whether the 'casual observer' doesn't see it like I do.
