I have exactly the same problem, Pete. Things are much slower since they doubled the speed.

I assume the 'customer care' (oxymoron, presumably) is deliberately pants so that no one has the strength to complain. I think about ringing up, sometimes, and then I think no, it will only distress me. :heehee:

I am on a T-Mobile internet dongle ... GC has slowed down considerably, whilst other sites are still pretty fast ...

I think it was mentioned earlier that this "slow down" issue should clear in a couple of days - once the streaming link is kicked into touch (HOPEFULLY)

Wow, gcc, you use tech speak!:heehee: I think that means we will be on a go slow for three days and then on a go a lot faster rate :dancy:

Yes, I have noticed it is this site that is slower and I recognise that Nathan will have matters in hand. With regard to Virgin I have been with them for years and I find whenever they expand or say they are expanding and the service will be better it always seem worse until I get them to view my set up at their end and then it all comes good again. :)

we're still awaiting the domain registrar to acknowledge nates request to change nameservers, sadly they don't allow manual editing of dns or we would have been on full speed already!

I think just Moron fits the bill quite well.

Just because I'm ever the optimist, usually the 72 hours is the outside limit. That's how long it takes for the info to ripple all around the web, but if any of us are lucky enough, our ISPs will be lucky enough to get the update well before that time, so if I'm right, then I reckon it will speed up for some of us at different times than for others.

            UPDATE....

It seems that the company that GC is registered with has been bought out by another company......

In the move from Titan (original company) servers to IOMart(new company) servers, some data has not been ported across properly ....... Or so I have been told.

They are having a tech look into everything for us tomorrow as they only have techs on Office Hours (as the internet is obviously only 9-5 :rolleyespink: )

So there could be an extra day of delays .......... Oh JOY !!!
