Thought that might have been it:biggrin:

You can post videos but you'll need to upload them to You Tube first & then copy the link from there to here. Its not much different from uploading a pic.

I'll talk you through it if you want to:spinning:

Pardon my forwardness but why don't any of you do it now? I think it would give much more depth and perspective - especially of a landscape scene...

This is probably worthy of a seperate 'how to' thread on producing, uploading to youtube, and inserting links to youtube.

EDIT: Missed creating a gmail (youtube) account, possibly using GC username for that above.

I'm a bit iffy about Facebook and the big O Ziggy. I would want it for GC eyes only.

Like Scrunge says, you could use the same screen name as on Gardeners Corner, or, if you are concerned about privacy, choose a different name like Winston S Churchill or Timothy Leary.

Once the video has loaded to youtube, then just play it and copy the url address in the bar at the top.

You can then paste that into the post on GC where you want it. Just remember to leave a space between the copied code and the next thing you write.

Jenny, what sort of camera do you have? I have one that will shoot both stills & HD video, another (flip as shown below for video clips) + another (helmet mounted cycling video camera).

My mobile was free with Avon about 8 years ago. It doesn't do much but I'm happy with it. I don't do mobiling really.
The camera I use is a Nikon Coolpix P1.It can take videos -I think? I envy all the detailed, wonderful quality piccies that members post on here. Maybe, when my boat comes in, I will treat myself to a Macro lens camera. Good game though all of this innit?

An example of youtube posting - my first on GC. This is the best hen we ever had - she was 'top hen' and would run to 'talk' to us every single time we passed our hen run:

But how do I stop the link displayed changing to other stuff after viewing?

EDIT: Perhaps a suggestion to 're-play' using the link in the top LH corner of the youtube window should be suggested?
