    Well as today has provided sparodic cloud cover I've managed to get a few things done, some things were done a couple of days ago too;
    • Cut the grass again.
    • Planted out my Runner Beans.
    • Cut the Laurel hedge on the front which has been growing at an amazing rate during this hot spell.
    • Done some weeding.
    • 6 varieties of Tomatoes planted out in large pots or grow-bags.
    • Harvested my first batch of new potatoes for this year.
    • Put new cover on my small "blow-away" greenhouse.
    Happy Days...:)

      Hiya Sheal
      I was a little premature with my "nothing" earlier.:doh:

      This evening I went out and stuck some netting on the trellis at the side of my house, and arch at my back door, to aid my sweet peas and Clematis.

      Stuck it on with drawing pins :thumbsup: and took me all of 10 minutes.

      Still........it`s another wee job done.

        came home from holiday to a jungle in the green house ( poor daughter could barely get through the door the water everything ) only lost a few few seedlings that she could no longer reach and they were spares for just in case so no harm done there:biggrin:
        have spent the day re potting, drenching the beds as the are really dry here (apparently the weather was fab here while i was on my hols) lastly dragged other half up to the plot and while i entrusted him with hosepipe to just everything a good drenching i weeded and tied up some beans and peas, no loss up the plot at all YAY :hapydancsmil:
        back to work tomorrow ah well here is to reality :ccheers:

          Welcome back Kaz. Yes it must have been as hot as Turkey at times. My greenhouse was on 39 degrees at the weekend with doors & vents open and it's a lean-to going east west so none of it faces south!
          Won't last though, I'm sure the rain will be back in a few days.

            The only thing I've done today which is remotely gardening-related is to buy two 9L watering cans from Aldi. Oh and I added some water to the compost bins.
