Joolz I would say your plants have caught up with mine they look about the same size. Yes unfortunately the snails have taken a liking to them. :catapult:

Joolz you can plant them out now. I have potted 4 up into 10" pots in which they will stay. I am not sure how many more Steve wants. If he wants more potted up into large pots he will have to help by digging some holes for me to plant out some of the hard roots that are taking up my valuable large pots. Then they will be stood out somewhere I haven't got the room to put them into the ground anywhere because of the hard roots that I bought early spring have grown on and now ready to go out into the main garden. Stuff like lupins, red hot pokers and gypsophilia etc..... think I shall have to accommodate some of them in my front garden border.

Just had a chat to Steve and he says he wants another 6 saved for him that leaves 6 for my mate Colin. Later today I will take Steve's 6 probably the largest of those 12 left and take three grow bags from the floor of the greenhouse and put them round the back lawn against the flat wall. There I will plant them out 2 to each grow bag and give them a feed and see how they go. It will of course mean repairing my lawn yet again once the plants have finished but hey that's just another job on the list. So it will be interesting to watch the four which are in the cold greenhouse with my Tomato plants how they progress against the six which will be outside in grow bags. Fortunately, I have three grow bags spare which will do nicely.

We ended up getting our growbags out onto one of the borders and planted them three across each growbag and then put grit and gravel round the plants to stop the snails. They look quite happy there and the other 4 that were put into 10" pots are doing extremely well ........we have also put grit and gravel around them too. :)
