    Well, whilst I am no royalist, I have to be honest - watching the river pageant on the TV it is impressive and shows yet again that we are really good at this sort of stuff in this country.

    I was lucky enough to be selected to drive in the Services Parade at Her Majesties Golden Jubilee, and although nothing like the scale of this year's events, it was very special indeed - - I can only imagine how special it is for those taking part today.

    Been watching the pageant on telly. Rachel de Thames floral arrangements on the Royal barge are very impressive.

      I loved the swags of red flowers which were hung from the sides of the barge. I was less sure about the central arrangement near the prow. Splendid effort all in all, though.

      Such a shame the weather was awful. All those grey, sodden shots of pinched people in anoraks waving soggy little flags getting beamed round the world. You'd never know we had a heatwave just a few days ago.
