Hi Nick , it will take at least 3 days work plus a minimun of one skip , I would personally say that the door worth around £500 on its own and each glass around £700 , plus the gutter and the led and the top glass worth more then £1000 ......just think how much it would cost a normal pvc conservative of that size (btw £15000/20000 easy) .
I know is not average conservative that everyone will want but for that prize it will go quick , a conservative like this is in every prist wanted list :blue thumb:

The old 'You'd better hurry up cos I've already had three offers' line. Followed by the 'if I can't sell it whole, I'll try selling as much of it as I can as bits' line.

Based on that, I'd definitely negotiate on price.

As for man power, I'd help you for nowt if I had the time and the expertise. I can hit things with a big hammer, but I don't think that's always the best way to dismantle things.

You'll get there. I've seen your pics of some of your other projects so I know you'll sort it if you want it.

I know what's you're saying about the industry becoming flats. Here's a little sad but true (and to be fair, I also find it a bit amusing) story. When I was a kid, a derelict mill came up for sale not far from us. The asking price back then (early 1980s) was about £30k. My dad wasted no time formulating a plan. He was going to remortgage the house to buy the old mill, and his best mate was going to do the same, then between them they were going to do it up and turn it into flats to sell on. My mam was having none of it. My dad's mate's wife was having none of it. They ignored the wives and went to talk to the bank manager, who was having none of it. Everywhere they turned, they got the same answer. 'Who's going to want to live in an old factory?'. How wrong all those people were.

Fast forward to today, my dad and his mate are still both skint. At least they have the honour of knowing that they would have been right:)

Folly ... check for architectural salvage auctions

I used to frequent an auction in Diss (near Norfolk) and they always had window antique frames/doors etc that sold for very cheap

their next auction is on the 30th June and their online catalogue will appear on the 27th June

What is meant to be, will be Nick. Quite often when you lose out on something, something better comes up. :)

I went to college in Woden Road when I was an apprentice. I think that it's an housing estate now though.

never Mind Nick, from what I have seen of all your hard work, I'm sure you will come up with something far more superior and have YOUR personal little touches, which will then make its yours 100%.

Clearly it was not meant to be, which tells me you will come up with something sooooo much better:WINK1:
