Mellow now, but was pretty cross earlier. Don't normally drive like a mad badger but burnt someone off my tail coming out of Taunton. Folk seem to think if you are doing 30 in a 30 limit you must be overtaken at all costs.

Coming out of the 30 leads straight into a 70mph dual carriageway, saw them all pull out immediately to overtake me, dropped it into 3rd & just left them all in the outside lane, pulling back in one by one:snork:

      That made me feel better.

Its despicable, but sadly, not surprising. Its the age we live in now. Initiative and sound judgement are not qualities that modern managers promote it seems. Its tree annoying.

I saw someone mentioned Morrisons, well I had the same deal. I've been old enough to buy beer for 20 years, but unfortunately I also look older than I am. One time a young lass on the checkout, she can't have been much older than 18, saw my beer and I saw the look on her face, it was one of dread. She knew what she had to do, and she knew it was ridiculous. She sheepishly asked, 'can you prove you're over 18?'. Poor girl, I just looked at her in what I hope was my most sympathetic fatherly face, at which point she decided to make no more of it and just served me anyway. Just as well really, because although I did have id on me, I was ready to say I didn't, and would have held up the queue until the manager came over and made him/her go to the trouble of explaining the reasoning behind their policy.

I'm wishing i'd stood my ground now Dave & demanded to see the manager & made a fuss. It's just that the punk bit kicked in:doh:

Standing your ground is all well and good, in the right circumstances, but in your case you were out with your daughter, and I guess you wouldn't want to use up valuable family time standing your ground when you could use that time to do something else instead.

As for my FB page, if you've found it, there's nowt on there to indicate as much at the moment.

Speaking of buying alcohol in supermarkets I was doing some shopping in Tesco (yesterday) and asked the young check out girl what the 25 on the badge she was wearing was (Print small and badge not in a good place to stare at) She said its to say if you are under 25 she needs proof of age if you want to buy alcohol. I always thought it was 18.
