      Horsetail (often mistakenly called Marestail) not so easy though ...

        Thanks for pointing me towards your 'Action Plan', clueless - and YES it does make sense to 'keep it happy' :spinning:. Talk about 'plant psychology' :dbgrtmb:!

        Like I've said, I've given up hope of that freshly sown grass seed coming to anything for this year, which leaves me free to go for an all out attack on what amounts to an empty space - well empty except for the Bindweed. It means that I don't have to worry about the solution drifting onto any precious plants - I can just 'go in for the kill' :thumbsup:.

        The 'Day of The Triffids' is about to meet it's match ...................................

          I had to do that once at my last garden. I moved a few of my favourite plants into containers and kept them there in quarantine for a whole year. Meanwhile I then just blitzed the whole area several times until I was sure it was under control.
