          Joolz

You can make lots of plants just out of one root . Pencil thickness is ideal to do root cuttings with Perenial poppies

Recipe: 50 / 50 multi purpose compost and grit mix this together , slice the root up into 3 inche lengths when planting keeping the same way up as you would of planted the root in the garden otherwise it wont grow if it is upside down . pot in to 4 inch pots with the top of the root cutting same level with the compost then cover the top of the compost with grit a good 1/4 inches .

Put in the greenhouse or cold frame and just leave alone (dont over water them just the once otherwise they may rot over the winter), in the spring they will start to grow once rooted you can plant out late early May .

Hard do describe how to do it on here, hope you understand :ideaIPB:

Beautiful poppy ARMANDII, love the double too Palustris :dbgrtmb:
I was watching the bees the other day while weeding, on my orange poppy, quite funny they just seemed to be rolling round inside the flower covering themselves in pollen
