I refuse to take out a mortgage on popcorn, so we smuggle our own snacks into the cinema. It adds that slight frisson of excitement to the most dull of films.

What's this? Jaws is being re-released?

I remember not so many years ago seeing a documentary aimed at dispelling the myth that the great white is a viscous man eater (myth or not, I don't want to find out, but its what they said). One of the blokes that played a key role in making Jaws said he regretted it because it caused unfair hysteria about sharks, and apparently more people get killed by cows each year than by sharks.

Why people have to take "Munchies" to watch a two hour film in a cinema I do not know

Anything to cause disruption to others watching the film, crunching pop corn, wrattling sweet papers, stinking burgers, or hot dogs with onions, Slurping coke/cola through a staw

It is only an couple of hours, You must have eaten a couple of hours before even if you have had to travel fifty miles to get there
If you must have a treat, then make it an add on after film when you leave

If you must, stay at home and watch it when it comes on SKY, Then you can stuff and slurp all you want

Its the brainwashing. people relate to the endless adverts telling them they need Popcorn or hotdogs & ice cream to enjoy a movie.

Even though we had only just eaten Willow still wanted chocolate before we went in:doh:
