All my annuals are well under way in beds and pots, the garden's green but where's the colour? With spring not making up it's mind this year whether it was coming or going, the plant's are just sitting and waiting to flower. Ohhhh, for some sun, in fact plenty of sun to help them burst into flower.

Even tomato plants in my greenhouse are showing unwillingness to crop with few flowers. I don't think it's going to be a good year this year in all respects.

What's happening for everyone else, are you all finding it the same in your gardens?

      Yep,

Just had a look, put some of the beans back round the poles as the latest storm has blown them off. The slugs have had all but one growing point off.

Tobacco is just sitting there, looking more like net curtains. Nothing else is moving.

YES Sheal. Everything has grown tall, soft and lanky. And that horrid gale lashed it within an inch of its life. Even the lawn looks "strawy" and in shock. My outdoor toms in the window boxes were forced to dance "jigs" they hated it and slumped by eventide. There are many shrivelling flowers on them and I hardly saw a bee for a week. A cherry tree has gone into Autumn red leaf mode as I think it reckons it must be time to do this. Very unbalanced at the moment isn't it....

Same as you you Sheal, everything just sitting and waiting. Although my Gertrude Jekyll rose is brill and my ' Bo Jangles' marigolds are thinking about opening and my sweet peas are starting to get flowers on. Loads of flowers on my toms but only 6 tons between 3 plants. Grass looking quite green too.

Spruce, right now my garden is being battered by torrential rain and winds are picking up to gale force, unusually it's coming from the east, it's all gone crazy out there! Surprisingly temperatures are holding up, we've had 17C today and promised 11C over night. We need sun though!

It seems everyone has the same issues at the moment and along with the rain comes the slugs and snails, oh joy!

Whoever is doing the rain dance out there, stop now please! :nonofinger: It's not funny anymore.

Same here - lots of buds but they seem to be waiting for a spell of sunshine to open up - roses and campanula are two that spring to mind. My lupins have been lovely though and I do have geraniums, centranthus, salvias and sisyrinchium in flower.

On the bright side! I do have a few deciduous Azalea's, Camelia's and Magnolia's that I'm growing on outside in big pots that are thriving in this coolish wet weather. New lawn is thriving too I was dreading hot weather! But yes everything is green but there's on promise of better weather in a week or so, fingers crossed!

My roses seem to be quite happy with the weather, although the Cannas are just sitting in their pots waiting for some warmer weather. The Clematis seem to like the warm damp weather so they're growing thick and fast although and while some are flowering some are still in bud. The Oriental Poppies don't seem to be bothered and are flowering away, along with the annual and Cambrian Poppies. The ferns by the pond are loving this wet weather and are getting bigger and bigger. So while there are some plants a bit behind most seem to be getting on with it.:dunno:

I too seem to have grown a lot of green this year . Except for my Begonias which have decided to develop glacial growth- like Spruce baskets still in the GH . Feels like I got to the first week of May and stopped . Possibly we are in a space and time continuum loop. I am sure the conspiracy theory members can explain this...........
