    Two points:

    1. (for humans) You can't rely soley upon shooting pigeons to protect your crops as they'll just eat them all when you're not about.

    2. (for pigeons) You can't rely on vegetarians not shooting you (because you are destroying their veg crop) and giving your body to their dogs, neighbours, local red kites, etc.

    3. (For Pigeons & any Corvidae family) Don't even think about visiting Mr & Mrs Chopper's garden.

Red Kites have started to appear in Dorset now but unfortunately not near our garden which is why we have four very plump Woodies here all day every day.

When we lived in Sheffield, we had two fat wood pigeons that mostly lived in the tree at the bottom of our garden. Foxes had also been sighted in the neighbourhood. Then one day I noticed that instead of two loved up wood pigeons in the tree, there was just one, and a great pile of feathers on the floor, which muggins here had to clean up.
