I've done more than a dozen Lily Beetles so far this year.
I don't recall seeing them before. I assume they are now so well established they have moved up North.
Can we send them back South?

Lily beetle larvae!! I pick off the leaves they're on and squash them. Get rid or they will destroy your plants!!!!

Got the torch charged up, will be out tonight. Practically nothing left of the beans and tobacco plants. whole pot of Lollo Rosso has had all the tops eaten off.

Some time I'll post a picture of the snail army that comes out after dark in my little garden. It's like Hitchcock's 'The Birds'. Only with slime.

Almost every evening I find up to 50 snails on their way from under the hedges to eat my plants. Alas, most of them don't make it ! Casualties so far, dahlia's, bedding plants, strawberries, artichoke, assorted salad and veg leaves ... this is war :gaah:

I used to feed my slugs to the frogs but when we adopted a cat from our neighbours he frightened them all to death (frogs that is) so i just use the Growing Success Slug Killer Pellets now - a lot less hassle and they last several showers too. Not to a lot of peoples liking but having spent hundreds on plants the last few years, at least they're all in one piece.
