Mine are still out and growing slowly, just getting the first flowers.

    Ignorance is bliss

A work colleague gave me two courgette seedlings, saying how easy they are to grow

I placed them in my GH April, in the original coffee cups
They grew about five inches high, so I stuck them out in the garden Mid May
They now have eight flowers each, about half inch diameter. The plant has not grown any higher, just on the ground with yellow flowers

As I say I aint got a clue

They hate chilly conditions. Frost will kill them, but chilly conditions and they pretty much go backwards. Some warm nights, and still days, and sunshine, and you'll be running to keep up with them!

Mine have been out a few weeks as just got too big indoors. Look a bit worse for wear because of the wind but now have their first flowers, so fingers crossed they'll be ok! Didn't get a single fruit last year!

Just planted two out. Just about ready for it, got 4 more still hardening off a bit. Roots at about the right stage of development, not potbound but well-grown.

I have a few flowers on mine :) - I currently have them under a net along with everything else edible - - - I assume that they would be attractive to birds?

Mine have been out since the beginning of the month and have survived the strong winds and rain, and they've now got little fruits on them.

However, the butternut squash plants that went in at the same time have hardly grown at all. Last year they were poor too - shades of Groundhog Day.

I think we've got to accept the fact that a total grey blanket of cloud over the country, cold temperatures & wind adds upto a crop failure for anything but oats this year.

I have small fruits on my greenhouse courgettes. and I mean small ! Outside courgettes are still growing but no sign of fruits yet. My greenhouse tomatoes are also very poor up to now with the lack of sunlight.
In this area, N.Wales, we have been closed in with drizzle, mist and cloud for a couple of days now so I'm not expecting a bumper crop of anything at the moment. :dunno:
