Tesco sell Roussous finest Feta Cheese (barrel aged) ....

cut it in 1 inch strips ... lay it in fresh water for 5 minutes to remove the salt ... (that why many people dislike feta because they dont wash the salt off)

crush some dried oregano in the palm of your hand and sprinkle this over the feta .... drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the cheese and serve it with slices of ice cold ripe sweet watermellon ... or with ripe sweet chilled seedless grapes

I never knew that. Personally I quite like it as it is, but then I like far too much salt. I'll have to remember that trick.

Is that the British Farmers using all that Dutch & French agricultural machinery, driving round in their Subaru pick ups and spraying their crops with imported chemicals?

Great idea but I can’t find anything to buy, so after I’d eaten my dinner I gathered all the plates and smashed them on the floor to show my support for Greece.
Mrs JWK wasn’t impressed, she hadn't finished eating.

We went to Kalimaki on Zante for the first time in 1989. It was a picturesque little village, totally relaxing and we had a brilliant time.
We wandered the village, the local bus came "Whenever", the electricity failed occasionally but the pools were all available and the beer was cold.
5 years later we were in Laganas and, because it was so busy, drove back to Kalimaki for a nostalia hit.
We were lost. It was huge with hotels all over the place.
I think they just got greedy and lost the plot in relation to why people loved the place.
              MOney doesn't always improve things.

I've only just found this thread. Yesterday , we went to Lidyls and bought a pack of 4 -125g "Eridanous Creamy natural yoghurt".
Had a pot each for brekkie this morning with runny honey.
                Yummy:cat-kittyandsmiley:
