      I think this is so. That said, I also think many of the older generations are nearly deaf at least partly because they were also once the younger generation:)

      When I was a teenager, my dad would rant about my loud music, yet at other times he would proudly reminisce about things like taking the baffles out of his motorbike exhaust, or being at the front of the crowd while The Who smashed up their instruments.
