Is it just me, or does Volvo become a link to eBay, with tooltip text saying 'shopping link added by skimwords'?

New site feature or virus on my PC?

I suppose this is a fund raising thing, but IMO a hideous "new feature". Sorry, but I hate being advertised at. :eeew:

Thanks. Just wanted to check. Anyway, back on topic, sorry for the digression:)

The 360 GLT, is that the little hatchback one? How did you squeeze the 2.3 engine in there? I had a 2.3 940, the engine looks like a tractor engine.

I tell you what though, I bet it doesn't hang about.

I didn't fit the engine, but yes, it does make a snug fit.

As I said above, once I change the diff (as it is broken so doesn't move), I should know how much fun it is. RWD + 2.3 turbo + light = fun

It was bought as a 'cheap' toy, as a trackday car, if I take out insurance for the day for my main car, usually at about £50-£60, the excess on that is £400 if you bin the car, so the maths tells you to get a cheap car to whizz around a track with.

My 940 was just the naturally aspirated one, but she could still do silly things if I asked her. Once when I'd only just got her, and she was my first RWD car, I did a most embarrassing thing on the way to work when pulling out at a busy T junction in the rain. I floored the throttle when I saw a gap, and proceeded to spin the car forcing everyone else to do an emergency stop. When the car came to rest I was pointing the wrong way, face to face with another car, with the driver of said car glaring at me, and me feeling very sheepish.

Once I got used to RWD characteristics, I loved it. There's a local car park where all the chavs take their Saxos and Corsas and try to power slide their front wheel drive toys. Very occasionally, if the mood took me, I'd take my 17 year old tank in there, wait til the blacked out headlight brigade noticed me and then do them a little doughnut before casually leaving again, knowing full well that they couldn't match it because its virtually impossible in a front wheel drive motor.

I had one of those years ago - A reg in a metallic burgundy red colour, with a light goldy/beige velour interior - - THE most comfortable seats bar none, and boy could it shift when it wanted to.

Sadly, I wrote the thing off - 12mph (max) impact, but it was with a huge fence end post which was essentially a skinned tree trunk, and it devastated the front and shoved the engine back a bit. I reckon that the car must have had a front end rebuild before I ever had it.

Nice one :) - you don't see many Caddy's knocking about nowadays, so hope the one you are getting is a good one.
