Tropical fruit id please

    Can anyone help with an id for this fruit?

    Taste wise, the best that I can offer is a mix of Lychee and wet Walnut!

          Frutus Laborus x Fiftyus Penceus sounds interesting - where can I source some seeds!!!!

          If anyone fancies growing one and wants seeds for this then let me know.

          It looks to me like Loquat ...

          The neighbour has two of these on the lane next to us. I don't like them at all. They don't sell them in stores here as they rot too quickly but market stalls sell them. The locals eat them (not the skin) and make jam with them.

          Edit: It does look like the Longan also ... do either fruit in the UK? :scratch:

            I'm going with Longan I reckon, but thanks for looking!
            As far as fruiting I have no idea, but I'll find out in a year or three hopefully!
