    No, neither would I, but presumably they want the teachings changed because they want to marry in church.

      I have to say I agree with Clint. I'm a Christian but I DON'T believe in RELIGION.

          I mean when it comes to filling in forms I say Church of England, I was Christened in a church, but that's as far as it goes.

          I dont participate so I dont try to change the rules.

          If you dont like the rules, dont join the club I say.

            Why not? People start their own churches all the time. I'm just the only member in mine..........

                  It appears I cannot quote my own posting. However, let me emphasize that when I said that as long as the person officiating was happy about it then that is all it matters I assumed that most churches will be against it and therefore would have the right to not officiate in such weddings. Only those qualified to officiate and not governed by Church fundamentalism will presumably officiate at such weddings. As I said live and let live as it goes both ways.

                            You're right, most churches are obviously against it but if the law is changed they would not have the right to refuse!!
