I thought we might go for a last amble around the garden as June is nearing it's very wet end. We have had some sunshine and warm days, like today, but we've had more than our fair share of grey rainy days. But being a nice evening let's take an amble around.

I thought we'd go through the Trellis entrance first this evening and this is how it looks today. You might have to duck your head going through!

The border beside the lawn is still full of colour and a mixture of plants.

A mixture of Roses, Cannas and Floxgloves.

A Herb that's been with me for a few years....Borage. I love the blue flowers and so do the insects.

For those who like a glass of wine there's one here.....

    and here......

    and here!

Paeonie "Sarah Bernhardt" with that lovely scent you can smell yards away.

The old bird bath slowly disappearing into the border...although the birds still find it!

    Rose Trumpeter

    Rose "Crazy for you"

The rose by the Kitchen door...Rose "White Skyliner"

Lots of colour from the annual poppies.

While the pond is still lovely to sit by, listening to the waterfall and watching all the insects flying around.

A hardy Geranium peeping around a Teasel.

Time to drink that wine and have a sit where ever you want to!:snork:

        Sheer magic Armandii,
you are so good to us. It's worth staying up for, just to see around the garden before bedtime.
The wine was perfectly chilled, as always...
        thank you,
        Jenny:snooze:

Any particular Whiskey, lolimac? We have the usual Bells, Glenlivet, or something special like Old Pulteney, Macallan, or a really tasty The Balvenie! I'm moving food and drink down to the Arbour for the duration of the Olympics as it's not for me!! Of course you might get a visitor while you're having a snifter or two in the garden:snork:

Jenny, I thought red wine had to be served at room temperature. Sorry, just splitting hairs. :heehee:

Hi Pootle, well to be honest I don't know the name of the annual poppy and there are now so many varieties around it would be hard to track the name down without some doubt. Again it's not a purposely sown seed but one that arrived either by bird or possibly imported unseen with another bought/borrowed/"liberated" plant.:snork:
