There are some in our area in the local local parks, they have got through the winter comfortably though the coldest here was -5. On the wirral, should be OK if you protect it with some fleece in the winter.

It did look strange , it`s actually not a yucca but a beschorneria yuccoides, it`s hardy to maybe -5/7 , it will not grown any trunk and extremely slow grower , mine still alive after a -8 but the leaves mulched down , but the good point yours is closed to the house it should be ok and it will make a really impressive flower.
ps B&Q mediterranian collection ......who moved Mexico in the mediterranean ?
beschorneria yuccoides in flower (love sunshine but can take lots of rain as well)

Whilst in Mark and Spencer randomly picked up a small honeysuckle and hydrangea reduced to £1.25 each. Have repotted them and hoping they'll survive to go in the new garden.

Bought this nice red Dhalia today from B&Q (unfortunately no guarantee with them) to go with the nice lemon one I got the other week.

I fear I`m becoming a bit of a Dhalia fan :spinning:

The 1st was taken on the standard macro setting from just a few inches away. The lemon one looks a bit washed out in that pic. Much stronger colour in the flesh.

For what its worth, I would say that black would be better Folly. Any mechanical nasties on it, or is it quite sound?

Champion :) They go on forever the old dubs, bless them. I ran my MK1 Golf for the best part of a year with knackered core plugs; There was nearly as much water in the boot as there was petrol in the tank, and I even boiled it a couple of times, but it never gave up.

                          My purchases have been extensive......

                          2 species of kniphofia
                          5 species of Impatiens (Himalayan)
                          5 species of Bamboo
                          Magnolia stellata
10 Dahlias (Crews Hill Gardeners Club were having a special)
Clematis armandii (both white and pink forms)
And there are others that I can't think of at the moment.....
